Another hummus sucucho.
Stumbled upon Café Mugrabi in one of my strolls near the Görlitzer Park. What appealed at first was the elegant and minimal outside sign, which is a plain "M" written with the Jewish alphabet. You guessed it: the place is inspired in Israeli cuisine. After taking a quick look through the window, I had a feeling that this place would be a new addition to my sucuchos, and it proved me right.
The place itself is just beautiful with a decoration sitting between cool, warm and home-like. When you face the front bar/cashier, which is crafted out of wood, it makes you feel as if you're in a dream kitchen: tidily ordered metal/wood shelves with fresh fruits, bottles and ingredient containers which spread a nice dose of color, making it lively. The whole place itself invites you to spend the day working, hanging out or just plainly eating the hell out of hummus.
I had the Hummus Sabich, which is hummus accompanied with small potatoes, eggs and an aubergine right in the middle and some fresh pita bread. It was abundant and magnificent. If all the same quality and love goes to the rest of the dishes as they did in the Sabich, then there'll be no room for disappointment. Special mention also goes to the coffee, which makes Café Mugrabi as a whole a versatile flavor factory.
